How to split your PDF

  1. 1

Add the PDF you want to split.

  2. 2

Choose Left | Right for book spreads, or Top / Bottom for stacked pages.

  3. 3

Click Split PDF and download the files (several files come as one ZIP).

Cut pages down the middle

Scanned books, magazines and A3 sheets often hold two pages on one image. Splitting every page in half gives you single pages in reading order: left half first, then right. Choose Top / Bottom for documents scanned in landscape with pages stacked.

Private by design

Your file is processed by your own browser, in memory. It is never uploaded, stored or seen by anyone, and the page’s security policy blocks it from sending data to other servers.

Frequently asked questions

How do I cut PDF in half?

Add the PDF you want to split. Choose Left | Right for book spreads, or Top / Bottom for stacked pages. Click Split PDF and download the files (several files come as one ZIP). It is preset to cut every page in half.

How to cut a PDF in half?

Add the PDF, pick a mode (custom ranges, fixed ranges, selected pages or every page) and check the preview. Click Split PDF to download the files; more than one file comes as a ZIP.

Can I save every page as its own PDF?

Yes. Choose “Every page” and each page becomes a separate PDF, named with its page number, all inside one ZIP.

Can I split by specific page numbers?

Yes. In Custom ranges, set “from page” and “to page” for each range, or in Select pages type a list like 1, 4-6, 9.

Does splitting change the content?

No. Pages are copied exactly as they are, including text, links and images.

Is it safe to use with confidential documents?

Yes. The file is opened by your own browser and processed in your device’s memory. It is never uploaded, so no server, including ours, ever receives a copy. That makes it suitable for contracts, IDs, medical or bank documents.
