About Split PDF
Splitting cuts one PDF into several smaller ones. You can choose exact page ranges, cut the file every few pages, pull out a selection of pages, save every page separately, or stay under a file-size limit. A live preview shows each file you will get before anything is created.
Splitting of PDF files is a daily job in offices. A PDF splitter is the quickest fix when a portal accepts only part of a document, when a scanned batch holds several separate letters, or when one chapter needs to go to one person. The pages are copied, not re-rendered, so quality is unchanged.
- Use Custom ranges for chapters, Fixed ranges for equal parts, and Select pages for a few scattered pages.
- Tick “Merge all ranges” to get one PDF that contains only the ranges you picked.
- Several output files arrive in one ZIP; Windows and macOS open it with a double-click.
- For book scans with two pages per sheet, use Pages in half.

- By file size
- Each part stays under the size you set.
- In half
- Cuts every page down the middle, useful for scanned book spreads.
Private by design
Your file is processed by your own browser, in memory. It is never uploaded, stored or seen by anyone, and the page’s security policy blocks it from sending data to other servers.
Frequently asked questions
How to split PDF pages?
Add the PDF, pick a mode (custom ranges, fixed ranges, selected pages or every page) and check the preview. Click Split PDF to download the files; more than one file comes as a ZIP.
Can I save every page as its own PDF?
Yes. Choose “Every page” and each page becomes a separate PDF, named with its page number, all inside one ZIP.
Can I split by specific page numbers?
Yes. In Custom ranges, set “from page” and “to page” for each range, or in Select pages type a list like 1, 4-6, 9.
Does splitting change the content?
No. Pages are copied exactly as they are, including text, links and images.
Is it safe to use with confidential documents?
Yes. The file is opened by your own browser and processed in your device’s memory. It is never uploaded, so no server, including ours, ever receives a copy. That makes it suitable for contracts, IDs, medical or bank documents.
Is it really free?
Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark, no daily limit and no paid tier hiding the useful settings. Because your device does the work, it costs us almost nothing to run.
